Mostar Imagination Chapter
Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Our Chapter counts 10 kids + 4 grown ups who every Thursday try to listen to (and fulfill) children’s needs when it comes to fun learning and creating new stuff. It is great to see what children can do when they fly with their imaginations without grades and exams cutting their wings. For 1 hour every week, they become our teachers in how life is actually beautiful. In their world there is not much fear, anxiety, or anger–only a bunch of smiles, playfulness, happiness and lots of will to share that with others. With our thoughts, words and deeds, we color the world around us so why don’t we color it the way children do.

I am an economist by profession. But in a last couple of years I have started searching for a new creative way to spend my free time and to be useful to my community as well. Considering that our schools lack such programs, I am very grateful that I can be a mediator between Imagination Foundation and kids in our country. I love the words from Sir Ken Robinson: “We all live in two worlds. One world exists with or without you. And the other world exists only because you exist. It is the world of your dreams, talents, ambitions. Before we explore the world around us we must explore the world within us.” So my dream is that one day every person will realize how important and unique they are and that they matter and can make a difference. In my free time I love to travel with my boyfriend, learn new stuff, explore new places.
