From Denmark to Denver: Creative Play Around the World
Last November, Imagination Foundation was named one of 10 Champions in the LEGO Foundation “Re-Imagine Learning Challenge.” Our Executive Director, Mike McGalliard, is now in Billund, Denmark representing the work of the Imagination Foundation at LEGO’s 2015 Idea Conference, and collaborating with amazing educators, leaders, researchers and policy makers from around the world to harness the power and potential of learning through play. Catch the final day of the conference via live stream (for those in the Central European Summer Time zone), at #ideaconf15 on Twitter, or through the Knowledge Hub, and join us in redefining play and reimagining learning for the 21st century!
The Storybook – Denver Edition
This week in The Storybook, we take you inside the Cherry Creek Imagination Chapter in Denver, Colorado. Led by STEM teacher Beth Cohen, this Chapter has become a close-knit community of kids (and sometimes their parents) who are unleashing their creativity and discovering their passions. Read the story and think about how cardboard, Jenga blocks, or a handful of marshmallows and spaghetti sticks could ignite the creativity in you and the kids you know.
