If you’ve registered for the 2016 Inventor’s Challenge on inventorschallenge.org, you are invited to enter.
Create a short video to showcase your invention and upload it to YouTube by the end of Friday, March 11, 2016. Up to three projects will receive special prizes from AT&T that could include tablets, accessories or a visit to AT&T to showcase your invention. Videos will be added to Imagination Foundation’s 2016 Inventor’s Challenge YouTube Playlist!
For our 2016 Inventor’s Challenge Contest, we invite you to upload an original video of a creative kid (or creative kids) showcasing an invention to YouTube. By entering the Contest, you certify that you are the parent/guardian of child pictured and/or are authorized to submit the video.

-Choose one invention you want to showcase in the video
-Tips on what to include in your video:
-Share your ideas, sketches, and prototypes.
-Recommended length: 3 minutes or less (but whatever it takes to realize your artistic vision!)
-Set the video in a quiet location with good lighting and a non-distracting background
-Mention the Inventor’s Challenge, Imagination Foundation and AT&T Aspire in your video
Upload to your video to YouTube and send an email to email@example.com with “2016 Inventor’s Challenge Contest Submission” in the subject line with a link to your video on YouTube by 11:59 pm PST on Friday, March 11, 2016.
In the YouTube description section, include a short blurb about your invention, mention Imagination Foundation, AT&T Aspire and include the URL inventorschallenge.org (You can also include links to blog posts, your organization’s website/facebook, etc. in this section). Video must be your own original work.
This Contest is sponsored by Imagination Foundation (P.O. Box 861755, Los Angeles, CA 90086), in collaboration with AT&T Aspire. The Contest is in no way sponsored by, endorsed by, administered by, or associated with, YouTube or any other social media company.
The Contest begins at 12:00am PST on February 16, 2016 and ends at 11:59pm PST on March 11, 2016 (the “Entry Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible.
All videos must be uploaded to YouTube. Officially enter the contest by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with “2016 Inventor’s Challenge Contest Submission” in the subject line with a link to your video on YouTube by 11:59 pm PST on Friday, March 11, 2016.
You may enter an unlimited number of times, but you may not use an agency or automated system to enter. Imagination Foundation reserves the right to reject any additional entries or entries that do not comply with these Official Rules. By entering, you indicate your unconditional agreement to, and acceptance of, these Official Rules and Imagination Foundation’s decisions, which are final and binding. You cannot win a prize unless you comply with all requirements in these Official Rules.
Videos will be judged on the following criteria:
Judging will be conducted by a panel of Imagination Foundation and AT&T employees. The Panel will evaluate all valid entries and pick a first place, a second place, and a third place winner.
Imagination Foundation will contact the winners via the email address they used to submit their entry. Winners will be revealed online within 15 business days of March 11, 2016. All judging decisions are final. Please do not contact us about the status of entries or judging.
Up to three projects will receive special prizes from AT&T that could include tablets, accessories or a visit to AT&T to showcase your invention.
All winners are responsible for paying any income taxes and any and all other costs and expenses not listed above. Any prize details not specified above will be determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion. A prize may not be transferred and must be accepted as awarded. A winner may not request cash or a substitute prize; however, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the prize is not available for any reason, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion.
Your videos helps Imagination Foundation celebrate childhood creativity all around the world. Thank you for helping to further our mission through your videos. By uploading your video you are agreeing to YouTube’s Community Guidelines. You will retain all rights to any video you submit—including ownership if applicable.
If you submit a video to enter the Contest, you grant the Imagination Foundation and AT&T Aspire a royalty-free, nonexclusive right during the Contest to:
The Imagination Foundation will endeavor to credit all videos with the caption “Person’s Name” when the full name is available.
In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Contest is impaired in any way, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either: (a) suspend the Contest to address the impairment and then resume the Contest; or (b) award the prize(s) from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify and seek damages from any individual who tampers with the operation of the Contest, violates these Official Rules, or acts in a disruptive or unsportsmanlike manner. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Proof of sending any communication to Sponsor by mail shall not be deemed proof of receipt of that communication by Sponsor. In the event of a dispute as to the owner of an online entry, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to enter will be deemed to be the owner. The Contest is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, YouTube, their respective parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Contest; (b) technical errors; (c) printing errors; (d) late or undelivered mail; (e) errors in the administration of the Contest; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property. You waive the right to claim any attorneys fees and any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.
You agree that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in California. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, your rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of California or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than California.
